  1. My 2014 massey Ferguson 4610 is showing an error on the dash as “E3-351 with a 21 underneath it. It’s showing “the forward oil pressure switch of forward is off when the controller provides an on output signal”. The tractor will NOT go forward but it does go in reverse.

I’ve looked everywhere and called numerous people and no one can tell me what to do to fix it or what part I need, etc…. Please help.

    • The error code "E3-351" with a description of "the forward oil pressure switch of forward is off when the controller provides an on output signal" suggests an issue with the forward oil pressure switch or its related circuitry. The fact that your Massey Ferguson 4610 tractor will not move forward but can go in reverse further supports the idea that there's a problem with the forward movement system.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

      1. Check the Forward Oil Pressure Switch:

        • Locate the forward oil pressure switch on your tractor. It's typically found on or near the transmission.
        • Inspect the switch for any visible damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
        • If you have a multimeter, you can test the switch for continuity to ensure it's functioning correctly.
      2. Inspect Wiring and Connectors:

        • Examine the wiring leading to and from the forward oil pressure switch. Look for any signs of wear, damage, or fraying.
        • Ensure all connectors are securely attached and free of corrosion.
      3. Check Hydraulic Fluid Levels:

        • Low hydraulic fluid can affect the operation of the tractor. Ensure the hydraulic fluid is at the recommended level and is clean. If the fluid is dirty or contaminated, consider changing it.
      4. Reset the Error Code:

        • After checking the above components, try resetting the error code. This can sometimes be done by turning the tractor off, waiting a few minutes, and then restarting it. If the error persists, there may still be an unresolved issue.
      5. Consult the Service Manual:

        • If you have the service manual for your Massey Ferguson 4610, refer to it for more detailed troubleshooting steps and diagrams related to the error code.
      6. Seek Professional Help:

        • If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, it might be best to consult with a professional mechanic or technician who specializes in Massey Ferguson tractors. They may have specific tools and expertise to diagnose and fix the problem.

Lastly, while it's possible that the forward oil pressure switch itself is faulty and needs replacement, it's also possible that there's an issue elsewhere in the system causing the error. Before purchasing any replacement parts, it's essential to accurately diagnose the root cause of the problem.

If you're looking for specific parts or more detailed information, you might consider reaching out to Massey Ferguson's official support or a dealership. They may have access to more specific diagnostic tools and resources to assist you further.
